Speak Up website launched
We are pleased to launch the new website for Speak Up, the independent service providing free and confidential advice on the speaking up process within the NHS and social care sector.
Previously known as “Whistleblowing Helpline”, Speak Up has been designed to give those working in the NHS and social care sector advice and guidance on raising concerns at work.
Issued raised have the potential to undermine public confidence in vital services and threaten patient safety, so it was important that the new website would communicate that the service is free, confidential and unbiased and encourage workers to come forward to raise concerns without fear.
For employees, the new website contains an interactive tool which they can use to find the most appropriate organisation or contacts to raise their concern with.
For employers, a number of factsheets and training guides has been created to highlight the importance of raising concerns in the workplace.
Lastly, for those who don’t work in the NHS or social care, a series of useful links has been compiled advising on patient concerns, legal advice and other matters.
