Billy succeeded in keeping costs to a minimum (12,281GBP) by forming his own record company - SFF Records, dealing with TV, Radio and Newspaper promotion and administration himself.

Coincidentally it is the 2background-color: #b7c3cf; -moz-border-radius: 10px; min-height: 20px; width: 575px; font-weight: normal; padding: 15px 15px 15px 15px;th anniversary of BAND AID this year, another charity project that was synonymous with Midge Ure who was the lead singer in Billy's 7background-color: #b7c3cf; -moz-border-radius: 10px; min-height: 20px; width: 575px; font-weight: normal; padding: 15px 15px 15px 15px;'s band - SLIK.

'Although it has been two years since I started this project, it has been a labour of love. It has been immensely rewarding in many ways, not least through all the wonderful people that I have met along the way.'

The CD is not only available in Scotland; it has been released elsewhere in Britain, America and Australia. It is also being purchased all over the world via the Internet on sites such as musicscotland.com where it has been one of their biggest sellers this year.

This is a major charity CD featuring eighteen tracks donated by many of Scotland's top musicians and songwriters including Phil Cunningham, Aly Bain, Eddi Reader, Capercaillie, Fergie MacDonald, Dougie Maclean, Donnie Munro, Wolfstone. Scottish musician Billy McIsaac started putting the project together in December 2background-color: #b7c3cf; -moz-border-radius: 10px; min-height: 20px; width: 575px; font-weight: normal; padding: 15px 15px 15px 15px;background-color: #b7c3cf; -moz-border-radius: 10px; min-height: 20px; width: 575px; font-weight: normal; padding: 15px 15px 15px 15px;2 and composed the title track ('Here's Tae Us' and also 'Song for Shona' produced by Mick Macneil from Simple Minds). All profits from the CD are going to Lochaber Hydrotherapy, a charity based in Fort William.

Lochaber Hydrotherapy intends to build a specially heated pool with lifting and lowering aids (cost = 5background-color: #b7c3cf; -moz-border-radius: 10px; min-height: 20px; width: 575px; font-weight: normal; padding: 15px 15px 15px 15px;background-color: #b7c3cf; -moz-border-radius: 10px; min-height: 20px; width: 575px; font-weight: normal; padding: 15px 15px 15px 15px;,background-color: #b7c3cf; -moz-border-radius: 10px; min-height: 20px; width: 575px; font-weight: normal; padding: 15px 15px 15px 15px;background-color: #b7c3cf; -moz-border-radius: 10px; min-height: 20px; width: 575px; font-weight: normal; padding: 15px 15px 15px 15px;background-color: #b7c3cf; -moz-border-radius: 10px; min-height: 20px; width: 575px; font-weight: normal; padding: 15px 15px 15px 15px;GBP), which is used in conjunction with a physiotherapist. It will benefit over 25background-color: #b7c3cf; -moz-border-radius: 10px; min-height: 20px; width: 575px; font-weight: normal; padding: 15px 15px 15px 15px;background-color: #b7c3cf; -moz-border-radius: 10px; min-height: 20px; width: 575px; font-weight: normal; padding: 15px 15px 15px 15px; people in the Lochaber area. My involvement came via my friendship with George Macleod who would benefit from using the pool as he suffers from rheumatoid arthritis.

At the start of 2background-color: #b7c3cf; -moz-border-radius: 10px; min-height: 20px; width: 575px; font-weight: normal; padding: 15px 15px 15px 15px;background-color: #b7c3cf; -moz-border-radius: 10px; min-height: 20px; width: 575px; font-weight: normal; padding: 15px 15px 15px 15px;3 I contacted Midge Ure (I used to play in Slik with Midge and had a number one all over Europe in 1976) and let him hear my two tracks. He really liked them and suggested that because of their 'traditional' feel, Phil Cunningham might be able to help.

Around this time I spoke with Mary Ann Kennedy from the band 'Cliar' and she suggested that I could ask some Scottish musicians to donate a track to an album. Before I realised what was happening I had a virtual roll call of current Scottish traditional talent.

In December 2background-color: #b7c3cf; -moz-border-radius: 10px; min-height: 20px; width: 575px; font-weight: normal; padding: 15px 15px 15px 15px;background-color: #b7c3cf; -moz-border-radius: 10px; min-height: 20px; width: 575px; font-weight: normal; padding: 15px 15px 15px 15px;3, I formed my own record company - S.F.F Records to maximise profits for the charity.

I am extremely proud of this CD and the fact that it will continue to raise money for Lochaber Hydrotherapy for years to come. I would like to ask the people of Lochaber and the rest of the country to consider buying the CD as a Christmas present for a family member or friend - what better way to celebrate Christmas than by giving to charity!'

HERE'S TAE LOCHABER - A Celebration of Scotland in Film and Music

Far from being satisfied with the success of the CD, Billy is now working with Douglas and Gordon Ross from Genuine Games Limited of Fort William on a DVD / Video (all profits to Lochaber Hydrotherapy), which will feature stunning film footage of Scotland and some new music written by Billy including 'By The Lochy' and 'Lochaber.'

Apart from raising funds for Lochaber Hydrotherapy, Billy saw an opportunity to promote Scotland worldwide. He approached a group of people who are promoting Fort William as 'The Outdoor Capital of the UK' and Argyll, the Isles, Loch Lomond, Stirling & Trossachs Tourist Board for film footage of their respective areas.

There will also be music from one of Scotland's best fiddlers - Duncan Chisholm as well as music from some of Lochabers finest young musicians - The Ceilidh Trailers, the Kilmallie Singers, the Fort William Pipe Band and the Strathclyde Police Pipe Band. The narration will be by Magnus Magnusson who will give historical information and anecdotes about Ben Nevis.

Billy is also planning a solo album to be titled - 'SONGS FOR LOCHABER.'
Once again all profits will go to Lochaber Hydrotherapy.
