Salesforce rushes to reassure customer after DB collapse

Salesforce, the online Customer Relationship Management software supplier was hit by a series of database crashes on Tuesday this week, locking thousands of its customers - and even itself - out of their business critical customer data.

The downtime had an immediate effect on share prices too, with the stock falling 5% in value on Wednesday.

Salesforce is an alternative product to the well-known opensource SugarCrm software that is deployed by Web Integrations.
