We welcome 1 and 1 customers

Despite claims from 1 and 1 last Tuesday that they had fixed their email problems, it appears that their customers are still suffering badly.

Many of them are extremely distressed that not only do they have no email, they also have not status report telling them what is wrong, and when it will be fixed.

1 and 1 (or 1und1.de) has long operated on the old ploy of "appear to be cheap, but catch them on the add-ons, then make it hard to move away". But till the last few weeks, they have generally managed to keep their mail servers more or less running. Unfortunately that's no longer the case. If you are an affected customer, you might feel happier with a company which will answer the phone when you have a problem, and which will attempt to fix it right away.
